Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how FuelRelief.pk (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles information when you visit fuelrelief.pk (the “Site”).

We wrote it in plain language on purpose, because this site is about a government scheme meant to help people, and we don’t think our own privacy terms should be any harder to understand.

The Short Version

We are a news and information site, not a registration portal. We do not ask for, collect, or store your CNIC number, vehicle registration details, or any information related to your actual application for the Prime Minister’s Fuel Relief Scheme 2026. That happens only through official government channels, described further on our Disclaimer page.

Information We Collect

Information you give us directly. If you contact us through a form on the Site or by emailing [email protected], we receive whatever you choose to include — typically your name, email address, and the content of your message. We use this only to respond to you.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our server and any analytics tools we use may automatically log standard technical information when you visit, such as your approximate location (usually city/country level, inferred from your IP address), browser type, device type, pages viewed, and the date and time of your visit.

This is used in aggregate to understand how the Site is used and to keep it running reliably and securely — not to identify you personally.

Cookies. We use a limited number of cookies for essential site functionality and, where enabled, basic analytics. See our Cookies Policy for details.

How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

  • Respond to messages sent through our contact form or to [email protected]
  • Understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it
  • Keep the Site secure and functioning correctly
  • Comply with applicable law

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Third-Party Services

We may use third-party tools for hosting, analytics, or spam protection (for example, a website analytics provider or a contact-form service).

These providers may process limited technical data as described above under their own privacy terms.

We choose providers that are reputable and widely used, but we encourage you to review their policies if you’d like more detail.

Legal Basis and Applicable Law

Pakistan does not yet have a comprehensive, dedicated data protection statute in force (a Personal Data Protection Bill has been under legislative consideration for several years but has not been enacted at the time of writing).

In the meantime, the right to privacy is recognised under Article 14 of the Constitution of Pakistan, and matters relating to unauthorised access, misuse, or fraud involving electronic data are addressed under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA), 2016.

We aim to handle information responsibly and in line with the spirit of these protections and with generally accepted good-practice data standards, and we will update this policy if and when a comprehensive data protection law comes into force in Pakistan.

Data Retention and Security

We retain contact-form submissions and email correspondence only as long as reasonably needed to address your query and keep a basic record of correspondence, and we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.

No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we can’t guarantee absolute security.

Children’s Privacy

This Site is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your Choices

You can decline to send us any personal information — visiting the Site anonymously and choosing not to use the contact form is entirely fine. You can also control cookies through your browser settings, as described in our Cookies Policy.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example as our tools change or as Pakistan’s legal framework around data protection develops.

We’ll update the “Last updated” date above when we do. Significant changes will be reflected clearly on this page.
