About Us

Who We Are

FuelRelief.pk is an independent, Pakistan-focused information resource built around a single subject: the Prime Minister’s Fuel Relief Scheme 2026, the federal petrol subsidy programme launched in September 2026 to cushion motorcycle, rickshaw, Qingqi/Chingchi and small-car owners from the surge in global oil prices.

We are not a government website, and we are not affiliated with the Prime Minister’s Office, the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, NADRA, any provincial Excise and Taxation Department, or any bank or telecom operator involved in running the scheme.

We built FuelRelief.pk because, within hours of the scheme’s launch, we noticed how much confusing, outdated and sometimes outright fake information was already circulating online about it — old provincial schemes from earlier in the year, expired SMS shortcodes, and pages designed to look official.

Our aim is to give ordinary Pakistanis one clear, plain-language, regularly updated place to understand what the PM Petrol Scheme actually is, who it covers, and how the registration process works, sourced from official government statements and credible national news reporting.

What the Scheme Is, in Brief

Announced by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in September 2026 amid rising petrol prices driven by renewed tensions in the Middle East, the scheme provides a relief of Rs100 per litre on petrol for:

  • Motorcycles, rickshaws, Qingqis/Chingchis and other two- and three-wheelers, on up to 20 litres a month
  • Cars with engine capacities of up to 800cc, on up to 30 litres a month

Registration is digital, built by the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication in coordination with NADRA, telecom operators and provincial transport and excise departments, and is tied to a CNIC and a single registered vehicle.

The scheme rolled out first in Islamabad, followed by the rest of the country, including Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Because this is a fast-moving, newly launched government programme, exact figures, shortcodes, deadlines and eligibility rules can be revised by the government at any time.

We keep our coverage updated as official details change, but we always encourage readers to cross-check time-sensitive details (like SMS numbers or registration deadlines) against the government’s own announcements before acting.

Our Editorial Approach

  • Source first. We base our content on statements from the Prime Minister’s Office, relevant federal ministries, and established Pakistani news organisations — not on forwarded WhatsApp messages or unverified social media posts.
  • Plain language. Government notifications and press releases aren’t always easy to parse. We translate them into straightforward explanations.
  • Clearly marked updates. Where a scheme detail has changed since our last update, we say so rather than quietly editing the page.
  • No data collection for registration. We do not process CNIC numbers, vehicle details, or any part of your actual scheme registration. Registration happens only through the government’s official channels. We explain more about this on our Disclaimer page.

Why “FuelRelief.pk”

The name reflects exactly what we cover — fuel relief for Pakistani commuters — and the .pk domain reflects our audience: this site is written for readers in Pakistan, about a Pakistan-specific programme, and isn’t intended for an international audience.
